    Current Employee - Branch Intern

I have been working at Scottrade as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, great pay for the amount of work required, many locations, young coworkers and supervisor, branch camaraderie, employer will sponsor your series 7 and 63 licenses.

    Cons

Open office with no privacy at desks, 90% customer service, promotion opportunities depend on timing and availability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management attempts to implement costly programs that are not effective at the branch level, however the branches are required to comply and often report that they are successful in order to avoid additional attention from headquarters.
