So far so good

Stockbroker (Current Employee)

I have been working at Scottrade

ProsGreat work/life balance- do not bring work home.
Very little stress.
Decent pay/benefits.
Majority of coworkers are easy to get along with.
Great internship/training program.

ConsDisconnect between branches and headquarters can make simple tasks harder than necessary.
Branch career path goes: Intern -> Broker -> Manager, little growth outside of moving to St. Louis.
Work can be slow sometimes, mostly customer service/helping with computer issues.
Website and services are behind the times.

Advice to Senior ManagementHQ needs to put customers first and think outside the box instead of acting strictly by the book. The website and services need updating . Our customers are here because they want to do it themselves online - make that as easy and convenient as possible!

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
