Scotts Miracle-Gro Finance Intern for GBIS in Columbus, OH:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

Amazing headquarters and corporate culture is one of the best I have seen. Very relaxed and comfortable. The people are all very nice, and the executives seem to interact with all the employees on a regular basis. Great intern program. Since it is a lawn company, Jim likes to let the employees out early on Fridays during the summer if it is a nice day. All the execs held luncheons for the interns throughout the program and really took the time to answer questions about what they do, how they got to where they are, and what they think the interns could do to improve their career search.

Cons

The headquarters is located in Marysville, Ohio which is in the middle of nowhere.

Advice to Senior Management

Continue to teach the interns and help them get acquainted with the business. I enjoyed my internship completely and felt that I belonged as an employee.
