I worked at Scripps Clinic full-time (more than an year)

Pros

I enjoyed my time at Scripps. They offered extensive training even though I was initially hired on to fill a position for a woman who was going on maternity leave. The benefits were excellent and a casual yet very professional atmosphere.

Cons

The pay is very low to start and not a lot of room to move up if you are not specialized in a field.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to always treat the people on the front line with courtesy and respect. The PSRs are the voice and first face people see.

I worked at Scripps Clinic full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement. The staff is very caring. The company is a great company to work for.

    Cons

Unless directly in the medical field, usually you start very low on the todem pole. Very low pay in the beginning for office administration positions. Not everyone is college educated. With a degree, you will work alongside many other non-college educated people in their office administration positions and for equal pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Require degrees for every office administration position. There are too many high school educated people holding office positions who don't hold degrees.
