I worked at Sdsu Research Foundation as a contractor (more than an year)

Pros

SDSURF provides a valuable learning resource for students (particularly those in grad school) and will hire bright individuals without a work history. It gave me something to put on my resume, and I learned some important skills for the workforce.

Cons

Pay from a public school will always be limited, but consider the low salary rates. Additionally, dealing with HR or any sort of management is miserable- there are so many layers of bureaucracy to deal with.

I have been working at Sdsu Research Foundation part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Small caseload, ct's are primarily high-functioning.

    Cons

Paid piece-work. Which means, time searching for files, phoning ct's, and/or spent preparing for groups, one on ones, and other miscellaneous tasks are not paid for. Bathrooms are constantly a mess and not consistently supplied.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seems to be an underlying fear-based place to work-not conducive to a productive work place.
