Pros

Ability to move up within the company, yearly raises, friendly people.

Cons

The politics. DM puts a lot of pressure on the managers, which put pressure on the employees.

Advice to Management

Treat the managers better. They do a lot more work than the District Managers, believe me.

    Pros

Employee discount is a good thing to have and is about the only benefit part time employees have. That is the best that can be said.

    Cons

Stores and equipment to do the work in disrepair.Culture is to threaten job all the time over unrealistic metrics. The whole job now is warrenty programs, credit apps, collecting customer e-mail addresses for sywr and getting customers to do online orders to purchase merchandise. Favorite management quote "Change them or change them". Very inspiring. No raises in several years unless minimum wage goes up. If that isn't quite enough there is no pension, 401k match or affordable health care. Unless you stay because your close to getting social security there really isn't any reason to be at Sears.

    Advice to Management

Waste of time. Nobody is listening. Employees are not stake holders at Sears and their efforts are not rewarded or respected.
