I worked at Sears part-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Sears allowed a flexible schedule that allowed me to work and go to college. The Sears that I worked for also provided a good workplace environment.

Cons

I unfortunately was not able to advance further than I already had due to the lack of positions that were available.

    Pros

    Fun people to work with, management doesn't always have an eye on you, have fun with customers.

    Cons

    poorly run store, should be going under soon, customers know that sears is a joke now.

    I have been working at Sears part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    -The customers are really nice and appreciative
    -Co-workers are nice
    -Discount is decent
    -Extremely easy interview
    -Random employee events
    -I worked in a great location
    -The managers did praise us.
    -Getting time off is easy.

    I've been working in the electronics section for about 6 or 7 months. This place be pretty fun. Just keep up with the annoying metrics.

    Cons

    -Not enough resources. Most of our signs are not even hanging anymore. We can never get enough sticky squares. Getting closing bags can be a hassle.
    -Inefficient tools. Our phones, computers, registers, and tablets can be glitchy.
    -Horrible training modules.
    -Section maintenance. The other associates do not clean enough. A lot of the expired sales are not taken down on time.
    -Upper staff can occasionally be unresponsive.
    -Hours are inconsistent
    -The schedule isn't available until thursday.
    -Laptops and tablets need better displays.
    -They lowered my pay.
