Pros

Provides a challenge and multiple opportunities. A lot of good people work here that truly cares about the customer and company.

Cons

Getting a bad rap on the net. A lot of good people work here that truly cares about the customers. There are also those that feel entitled and not willing to change

I have been working at Sears full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Love working in apparel when I get to...

    Cons

Immense workload; lack of control over own workday due to constantly having to respond to the CONSTANTLY CHANGING deadlines, priorities, and agendas of others (store manager, district manager, regional manager, etc.); high-pressure, high-stress; substandard facilities and equipment (old, slow computers and handheld devices unless you work in a "digital journey" store

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay ASM's a more fair, more competitive salary. I work 60-80 hours per week at the store AND study my business/make plans for my store at home yet barely make enough to get by. Quit lowering staffing levels in stores. We need more help. Appreciate us more. One conference call per week should be enough instead of the constant micromanaging.

I am a Sales Associate in the Fine Jewelry Department and it gets pretty busy from time to time so I get a lot of profit from sales.
