I have been working at Sears full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Corporate has a ton of departments with many different job duties to gain experience in. It is easy to move between groups and the campus is decent.

    Cons

Zero merit increases, bonus are rarely met due to steady business decline, revolving door at the executive level, no 401k match, more time is spent charging other business units vs. driving sales

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Worry more about your employees than your investment

I have been working at Sears full-time

    Pros

Unfortunately there are no pros to working at Sears In-Home Eden Prairie, MN

    Cons

Change is not accepted and in fact I was advised to "fly under the radar". Everyone has a very negative attitude which unfortunately I got to experience on my very first day there. That continued through my entire time at Sears. The working conditions are very unhealthy for your mind and body. The offices are so old that they have mold on the ceilings and in the carpeting. There is no heat or air conditioning so prepare to sweat or freeze. No appreciation is shown what so ever, and your intelligent work will be taken and presented as someone else's. Everyone there is afraid of losing their job and would throw another under the buss to prevent that from happening.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Revamp that entire group. Hire new management that is up to date on current technology!
