Former Employee – worked at Sears part-time for more than a year
Pros – - People are nice, they look out for one another.
- Work environment isn't too stressful, you may get a grouchy customer once in awhile though.
- Overall, the best thing is that you have someone to talk too through times when nobody is in the store.
Cons – - Sears has ancient technology.
- You have to stand all day long, with little breaks. Starts to hurt your feet.
- Management can be overly precise at times. Mostly though, they want you to get credits and you get a feeling of being looked down upon if you don't meet your credit quota, even if you had no customers during the day.
Advice to Senior Management – Work with your employees a little more, and don't stress the credits too much. The people that really want to earn them do, but asking a customer 3 times for credit is off putting.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
