    Pros

    made some life long friends

    Cons

no management skills ,only want their bonuses ,rapid credits and card share their only focus
if its not in the sears bible its not the way to do things, promotions based on adherence to said bible not on competence or common sense.
store cleanlinest not a priority .floors not cleaned in ten years! swept only.
management in meetings or on conference all day .cannot be interupted for a customer because they are busy trying to figure out how to draw customer when they wont help the ones in the store.

    Advice to Management

get a backbone stop talking gibberish and focus on the customer.

    Pros

    Good people.
    Wonderful Brand and Icon.
Mostly very loyal, long term customers.

    Cons

Employees are extremely over-worked, under-paid and undervalued and appreciated by management.
Every store I've visited seems to have duplicated this same kind of toxic environment.
Understandably, incredibly negative about their future prospects and current management.
The future is totally uncertain for the chain unless they immediately stop the bleeding, losing their loyal customers, every single day.
Most of the staff are gone and it's a ghost town on the floor... providing sub-minimal customer service to their loyal customers.
Sears needs to take advantage of their on-line opportunity, but they just don't seem to want to address any of this at the moment.

    Advice to Management

Decide what business you're in and COMMIT with back-bone and total conviction. Get rid of your policies and procedures that are incredibly antiquated and counter-intuitive and just plain OLD! It's bogging everything done. There inventory control system is broken and useless. Get some inventory! One final thing... the delivery providers - trucks and people delivering your valuable sales to valuable loyal customers... needs to be fired. They are THE WORST in the business and contribute to more merchandise damage, missed calls, insubordination and at the end of the day... it gets RETURNED and your sales go to another store. The employee is negative and toxic because the system is broken and no-one in Management seems to have the back bone to fix things right.
