I have been working at Sears part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Not many pros except the employee discount for clothing and apparel. There is alot of gift card giveaways for getting customer surveys and we get free lunches occasionally on the weekends. We have in-store competions to win prizes like money and gift cards to food places

    Cons

Overwork staff, favoritism of race, lazy managers, bullies staff, very arrogant managers, lazy workers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to learn how to respect workers more or people will continue to leave this company. They are overdue for a new management team. They need to hire experienced personal asap.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

A nice introduction to sales, but only for the outgoing and proactive.

I have been working at Sears part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-What you make is potentially unlimited, amazing for any department store.
-Supportive staff and adequate training before going on commission.
-More gifts and rewards than any other department store.

    Cons

If you happen to be the associate who gets people who cannot or are not in the demographic for sears services, you will feel it in your bottom line. You MUST be willing to learn and improve, and critique your own performances, or else you'll feel it. But then again; your paycheck motivates you to help the customer as best you can.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the associates do their work, rather than make them use toys to cash out customers.
Create a greater education/interaction package that'll really make associates fly when it comes to public speaking.

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
