I have been working at Sears full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Commission only job. Can make good money if you can sell. Great bonus structure.

Cons

Appointments are preset by Sears. You don't know when your appointments are until the morning. Drive your own car all over the state.

I worked at Sears part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers can be okay. Flexible with scheduling.

    Cons

Started working part time, but still got 30+ hours. Eventually worked less and less. Towards the end, I was only working once a week (major receiving days.) And even then, they'd hire on more people to work. I was told specifically that the Back Room lead was purposely doing this to a different employee to get them to quit, instead of just telling them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire more people if the original people aren't getting part-time hours.

I have been working at Sears full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

some nice people to work with,

    Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing.
    customer service is very poor.
IT department will be the failure of this company.
Company pushes for credit, master protection agreements, shop your way rewards, use of i-pads that are improperly programed. reward s people for misleading customers. keeps reducing commissions on products. Treats there employees badly. donates less toward health insurance, asks commission sales people to dowork they are not paid for, floods the sales floor. does not care about their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and start treating your customers and employees with respect. You have the highest rate of employee turnover of any retail company. You are consistently losing your customer base to competitors.
