I worked at Sears full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice people to work with in store.

    Cons

The company sets unattainable monthly bonus goals, like 200% profit to LY. There is no room for growth and the company is being taken over by Regional HR that have no clue about the automotive business. Upper management doesn't care about the people in the stores and HR uses terms like "We need to be prepared to lose people".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give your management the SMART goals that you teach. Put the business back in the hands of people that know about the automotive industry and stop allowing HR people to have all the power.

I have been working at Sears part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Accommodating when you need to call in sick or leave for serious reasons

    Cons

    -rude management
-unrealistic expectations even when they know how severely understaffed our store is
-they expect you to do your job perfectly, plus anyone else's job that needs covering due to employee's that have quit or called out sick.
-unwillingness to understand when you do not want to get paid for one job and do three

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please dont expect to pay your employee's minimum wage to do one job but want them to do multiple. It is not our job to provide coverage throughout the store
