I worked at Sears part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefit of working as a floater is that you get to try out multiple departments to find out which particular department is the one that suits you and your personality best.

    Cons

The pay and the treatment of employees is terrible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the lowest workers on the totem pole on up with kindess and respect. They are the ones who interact with the public and how they are treated is reflected back to the customer who essentially is the one who pays your salary.

I worked at Sears full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I thought they at least had some redeeming values when I started

    Cons

The managers lie, they don't care about you at all, they are just luring in people and use you until you quit. If you can sell people drasitically overpriced products just because of the Sears name you'll be ok. They do well with people in the rural areas and the elderly. They prey on people with hard sell tactics, they people in my opinion are scum.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management, clean up this mess and join the 21st century. You are using sales tactics from the 1920's. This is just killing the Sears brand. Pitiful.
