I have been working at Sears full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great company to work for. In commission department you are the boss, you make as much as you want, so if you are not leader type you'll not survive.

Cons

not enough support, company is divided in to different departments as independently running business, to create competition but it does not work as it sound. Instead of competing as a whole against another retailer to gain client tell and business, most of efforts are wasted between leader ship of different departments to gain floor space in store and other issues. It does not happen at store level but happens at corporate level. In perfect world that logic may work but not in 2013.

    Pros

    Schedule is somewhat flexible. Enjoyed working as a team with co-workers.

    Cons

    Constantly berated by management on a daily basis for not closing every sale with protection agreements, and opening a sears credit card.

    Learn to communicate with employees instead of talking down to them.
