It has been interesting seeing the revolving door regarding associates and management.

As an Electronic Sales Rep at Sears, it was a decent experience-- just don't expect a huge paycheck.

    Pros

Great way to get experience in commissioned sales! The experience helped me get a much better job-- at a another company.

    Cons

Low pay (both commission and base pay); New employees will find even less commission options; Low opportunity for advancement, Low opportunity for full-time employment (It's almost luck); sales environment in neighboring departments creates a hostile sales environment.

    Advice to Management

It obvious that the company is showing low signs of life, but it needs a new coat of paint. Even if extra stores needs to be closed, the stores are in desperate needs of an update. Employees also need to have a better access to commission and advancement opportunities.

Double standards - non-existent management, and incredibly high turnover from the district level on down

    Pros

honestly, none, at least at the location near me

    Cons

non-communication, non-management, (literally would hide from customer issues in office), double standards, selective enforcement, not a business, the atmosphere was more like a kindergarten

    Advice to Management

Retire, change jobs, or take some "Basic 101" Communication classes, as well, as sales, customer service 101. As far as"management", unfortunately, it's known, not thought, to be a "lost" cause.
