I have been working at Sears part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Commission sales, the potential to make decent money, flexibility with hours, closed on Christmas

Cons

Management is very unorganized (this is seen nationwide), corporate policies do not make sense and are seriously detrimental for employees and members, raises do not exist, absolutely no appreciation for their employees, district managers and regional managers seem to enjoy hiring ruthless managers; this seems to be corporate policy.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please, if upper management does care at all for their employees then please review your store management. The store management I've dealt with unprofessional, disrespectful and ruthless. Customers are not happy with corporate policies either, especially with the use of iPADs. All of us at the store agree that the job has the potential to be great but it is ruined by corporate policy and the rudeness of store management.

I have been working at Sears full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Inside work most of the time. No midnight shift. Fairly good benefits at one time. Good vacation after many years of work. Meet some great people.

    Cons

Has not in many years put money into their stores. Not proper tools to do job well. Tools that are available are very old and do not work well. Very stressed out people working here. Poor morale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people tools to do job. Right for job and pay them well, take care of them.

I have been working at Sears part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I learned how to budget off a minimal wage

    Cons

I have way too much to put in this category..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on quality again. Carry better quality products, raise the requirements for employment along with the pay.
