I worked at Sears full-time for more than a year

Pros

new application of company culture, a lot of opportunity and support within the store, fun team environment, felt appreciated for the work that i put in and results achieved, flexible to change

Cons

seems political at the corporate level, a lot of stress caused to the management team at the store even when great results and growth was being made

Advice to ManagementAdvice

didn't know them well enough but it seems like they are doing a lot of restructuring to give the best to employees

I worked at Sears part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible time - Some employees work only when they want to. Sales bonuses are offered meeting goals although nearly impossible to reach. Can be very disheartening.

    Cons

Sears makes sales difficult because of a lack of customer service and requirements that include other unrelated duties that anger the customers. If you are on commission, it will anger you, too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

THE IPADS DO NOT WORK FOR THE APPLICATION OF SALES!!!
Why do you insist on making sales so difficult???
The policies that are in place make it certain to run off the very few customers Sears still has left.

I worked at Sears full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you like retail. But i wouldn't recommend this place for retail or sales.

    Cons

Commission is terrible mostly 1% on sales.
Always pushing you to sale in home protections that aren't really that great to consumer.
Management is terrible and only care about Credit Applications, and if you're in sales they just care about attachments and in home protection plans that you sale. an Example: $1,000 tv, then you must force $329 3year in home protection.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management here is terrible, all the way up to the CEO. Sears will be gone soon. And its about time.
