Pros

management offers praise to motivate their staff, you are offered work shops to increase your knowledge allowing to better assist customers.

Cons

can be difficult (schedule wise) for parents, expect to work saturdays, sundays, holidays, must be able to lift heavy loads ( 20 lbs maybe )

Advice to Management

expand some of our older sites, update some of the office equipment, benefits package is okay, cross training options would be nice

    Pros

The customers who come into Sears are amazing very, loyal for many years
    I was promoted

    Cons

    Lack of communication by management
    Company filled with cliques
Management was completely focused on numbers and not the customer

    Advice to Management

The customer must come first no matter what. There is no reason for losing a customer, because they are always right.

    Pros

A number of knowledgeable, long time employees.
Most customers are loyal to Sears , even if they are treated badly, which they often are.

    Cons

Poor training, mostly online, very confusing.
Always seem to be out of basic sales tools to help associates do their jobs (e.g.saleschecks)
POS system is bad and not up with modern technology.
Some managers don't seem to be properly trained, and this affects how they treat their associates.
Employee contributions don't seem to be valued.
As a commissioned employee, it's no picnic working for Sears.

    Advice to Management

    TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING!!!
Stop being so cheap...make sure each associate has the tools to do their jobs properly.
come out of your ivory towers and listen to customers and employees now and again.
