Securitas Security Services USA – “Too Little Pay, Too many Hours, Too much Bull.”

Desperate for money, or a matter of life and death.

Cons

Medical benefits topped out at $1200 a year. Vacation: You have to work 1 full year with NO time off, then you will be paid an EXTRA 1 weeks pay. If you take ANY days off, then you don't get any Vacation pay. Vacation, isn't getting paid for a week that you can't actually take off. That's dumb, stupid and take advantage of people.

Employees are disciplined for not being able to work overtime 24/7. Their overtime policy is that you must provide at least 2 weeks otice of anytime 24/7 in the next two weeks that you are not available for work. Upper management listened to complaints and even disciplined lower managament over problems, but still I found great hostility from them.

Employees frequently lied about other employees to try and get them disciplined and/or fired.

They pull in at least $25 an hour, per guard on duty, above the $7.50 that they pay you. Raises are unheard of, I never met anyone who ever received a raise. Demotions were given without even telling people. They would just let them figure it out when their payrate went down. How disrespectful.

Many people were hired and quit after 1 day, just because the working environment is that hostile and back-stabby.

I would NOT recommend this company to a friend, and I would NOT recommend working there.

Advice to Senior Management

Fire incompetant managers. Realize that people are people, and there are times when they can't work.
