Dead Mans Boots!

Project Manager (Current Employee)
Basildon, South East England, England (UK)

I have been working at Selex Galileo

ProsProducts are fantastic and technically very good.
Great work/life ethic – good flexi system
Openness is encouraged and you can challenge senior managers
Good exposure to customers and lots of foreign travel can be found on the right projects.
Company supports chartership

ConsBoard of Directors are all waiting for retirement and are in for an ‘easy ride’ therefore life is easy for middle mgrs but not challenging.
Senior Mgrs are stagnated and there is little opportunity to progress upwards due to lack of new business for individuals to take on and develop.
Very poor at marketing therefore a few new contracts are won to work on.
The company is institutionally ageist it is nigh impossible to get onto the executive scheme if you are under 30.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of the dead wood who don’t contribute anything to the organisation and those whom are holding on for retirement.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
