    Pros

It pays Ok. But it's not worth the money!!

    Cons

They are way behind other management properties. You have to wear horrible uniforms, upper mgmt doesn't listen to any ideas you have to say to benefit the company. They talk down to you. They don't believe in technology at all!!! If you want to move up, you cannot do it with Sentinel!! Most of the properties are revolving doors with employees. Overall it's a terrible place to work!!!

I worked at Sentinel Real Estate Corp.

    Pros

For the most part, you are kept well informed of the daily changes. Depending on location and position, salary is at least average, above average with some. The communities in which they manage are kept up, you will not have to worry about the availability of funds.

    Cons

Everything is "by the book" depending on the mood/day and who the DM is dealing with. Benefits are the absolute worst i had ever had. The insurance is basically useless unless you are using it as major medical. The office has a constant overload of paperwork. Yes, they are all computerized, you just do things twice, everything! The paperwork hinders your level of customer service, which should be the main goal and they do preach this. The main problem that I found along with numerous others who have left is very simple, far too many chiefs and only a handful of Indians!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try taking some suggestions from your teams that are actually running/working your communities! These teams are the core, they are the ones that will either make it or break it, but a simple thank you or pat on the back is far & few between! As a property level team member, you are NOT appreciated and NOTHING is ever good enough. The amount of work thats done and hours that are put in, count for nothing, just greater expectations! Although you may have some very good DM's that actually do work very hard, you may want to investigate how they handle and treat the property level people. Look at the staff turn around especially with long term employees, this should at least tell you that there must be a problem somewhere. If people do not feel appreciated it is only a matter of time before they leave the company and although everyone is replaceable, the dedicated, hardworking, knowledgeable, honest & trustworthy and wiling to go the distance employee is not so easily replaced! Just try finding some kindness for the ones that actually get their hands dirty!
