The promise of education and advancement may be overstated.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worry because I see that middle management in the store appears to lack balance in their lives. This is not an issue that I have witnessed in only store location. Their stress has an effect on other cast members and clients.

    I have been working at Sephora full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    I love the Monday thru Friday schedule. There are lots of positions within the warehouse to learn. Hard work pays off. Management genuinely cares about you and your work needs. It's VERY stable.

    Cons

    You accrue PTO at a decent rate but not fast enough in my opinion. There are opportunities to move up, but it's very competitive and you could wait a looong time for the next opportunity. There's mandatory OT, they can call it without warning, and if they need you to stay and get work done there's no negotiation.

    I worked at Sephora full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Overall great focus on the customer experience.

    Cons

    The store teams are expected to live by the values sometimes there are others that do not reflect those same values on store visits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There is a lot of unfair practices taking place in store. This company used to be such an amazing place to work, those days are long gone. It is a shame.
