Pros

Growth oriented. Goals and objectives for job expectations are spelled out.

Cons

The inner circle at the top is hard to break into. It's challenging finding a voice in the organization - few opportunities to share new ideas, no sense of feedback that signifies ideas are recieved. Message is better to go with the program rather then step away from the pack.

Advice to Management

Recent organizational changes and layoffs may cause good people to consider other like orgnanizations for employment first. Positive press is needed. Better than that - would be a social media following from professionals who openly praise the organization.

    Pros

THE FAMILIES AND EMPLOYEES WE SERVICD.

    Cons

the inappropriate relationships, having favorites, degrading employees...Our team became very paranoid and there was always so much drama that wasn't allowed to get addressed.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you want them to be there and give positive feedback every once in awhile. Take the time to really hear the concerns.

  2. Great experience working with kids to get your foot in the door for social work.

    Pros

On some of the more relaxed days you get to hang out with the kids by taking them to the park or YMCA to do physical activities and if your schedule allows even watch movies with them. Great feeling to help out and be a positive role model in someones life.

    Cons

Occasionally the kids will not listen to you and challenge your authority, can be a pain to deal with if they are being obnoxious. On the busier days you may be doing non stop transportation's for the kids taking them to therapy meetings, court appearances, job interviews etc.
