    Pros

    It will make you grateful to work anywhere else.

    Cons

    No support, no communication, no money. Horrible experience,,...huge pressure to perform without any help from management.... no marketing, advertising... nothing ... they don't care about anything but the bottom line..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Care more about your clients and employees and less about the enormous amount of money you are making and spending and wasting on nonsense. It's sickening that a company in the death services business can be so callous and uncaring about the living.

    Getting sales and working here is like rolling a huge rock uphill everyday. It never gets easier.

    I have been working at Service Corporation International full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    You get to help people at one of the most difficult times of their lives.

    Cons

    The only way they know to get contacts is to make more phone calls. With 90% of people on the do not call list. You end up calling the same people over and over. They want to go paperless but most of the managers are technologically illiterate. HMIS system is buggy and lacks capacity. ALAS lead system is slow, outdated and unresponsive. Huge turnover of help. In 2013 more people left the company than were hired. Expect to earn minimum wage for at least 6 months until you fully understand the job. Company would rather gives cars, trips, and rings than pay a living wage. Though managers who meet quota do very well.

    Fix your computer systems, Pay the counselors more, Advertise
