Left hand always woefully unaware of the right.

Pros

Compensation and hours were fairly reasonable in comparison to other similar local positions in the same industry. Benefit packages comparable to other local employers.

Cons

Inefficient rate of turnover. There are many different departments with variable workflows, and it seems the answer is to constantly hire and fire rather cross-train employees. There are many times where one department is doing mass layoffs and another is desperately seeking droves of people with very similar skill sets to those that were just let go.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

A more concise and consistent vision for the overall picture that is clearly communicated to all levels of employees in words and action would really help. ServiceLink is a growing and profitable organization that could be doing much better with some improvements in communication and efficiency.

Good place to work if you are contractor, worse for full time employees

    Pros

Casual dress code, nice gym and game room. Depending on your role good work life balance, generally most managers fall in this category as they do not have any work to do. The only ones that get beaten are developers.

    Cons

No respect for employees or the value they add to. Some managers have no clue of what they are doing or have no domain knowledge. They simply delegate work along with responsibilities and accountability. Delegation unfortunately stops at developers and therefore gets beaten for all bad or wrong decisions from managers above.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire knowledgeable resources, in particular the middle managers. Do proper project planning and avoid short cuts or burning people.

    I worked at ServiceLink

    Pros

A loss mitigation operation with potential to perform beneficially if willing to accept outside professional assistance and guidance. Please note that this review is limited to a section of services offered by ServiceLink at the Virginia Beach Virginia area. Other services provided by this organization are not part of this review.

    Cons

Loss Mitigation Manager lacks the leadership and business acumen necessary to facilitate a loss mitigation fulfillment and operation successfully. Lacks direction, no quantitative reasoning skills for applied decisioning. No problem solving skills. Unfortunately, lots of guess work was experienced with their operation limited to their loss mitigation operation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to seek outside services that will assess their loss mitigation operation for strengths and weaknesses. The results of the assessment should align the organization's business process to Its people and improve leader behaviors. Thereafter, the outside service will increase team engagement and improve loss mitigation fulfillment performance.
