I have been working at ServiceSource

Pros

Fair pay.
Good entry level job.
Good "9-5" hours.
Relaxed culture.

Cons

Awful communication between teams, management and leadership.
Lack of appreciation for the skills required to do a great job.
Very large knowledge and competence gap between management and employees. If I died tomorrow, no one within management could come close to doing my job.
Lack of true compensation for any extra effort that's put in.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

While this may be a great first job out of college, I would prefer a workplace that cares about its employees both from a management position and an HR position. The fact that within a publicly traded company, all management from lower to senior levels and human resources are unable to provide insight, knowledge and caring is sad when it seems this is the foundation the company wants to stand on. You probably have a 50/50 shot of being placed in a good situation, but for myself, it's been an awful job that has effected my quality of life.

    Pros

    Leverages industry best practices, applies this to individual customer instances and manages service renewals in a very effective manner for it's customers

    Cons

    Some very big initiatives are being simultaneously pursued, which stresses the infrastructure and the ability to execute for it's customers

    Pros

    High growth company with excellent customer base. A lot of quality work to be done and you can be a star if you wish to put in the work.

    Cons

    Sometimes long hours. If you're not used to doing this on your own without a lot of supervision this could be an issue. Stock is down a lot however still obove IPO price. A market induced problem and not necessarily a company specific problem.

    Hopefully things will continue to go great as we grow.
