Pros

Culture, opportunity for growth, and the fact that most of your competitors for promotions have never had a big boy or girl job before

Cons

Increasing micro-management, sometimes unclear expectations, and growing pains of a newly public company that is becoming too big for its britches

Advice to Management

The standardization across all teams is not working. Employees are becoming dissatisfied and morale is weakening. SSI is not a manufacturing facility and standardization in terms of team operations across the board is impossible. Employees are feeling micro-managed and unable to work in the manner that works best for them as an individual. Also, instead of lavish parties, team spiffs, and wasteful spending to make working at SSI seem cool and fun, the majority would like a clear path to better pay.

    Pros

    ServiceSource offers lots of freedoms with your schedule hours. They have many offsite activities and come off as a young and hip company.

    Cons

    The salary for Sales reps are horrible, especially with how much non-selling tasks you do on a daily basis around data and CRM management. Some of the worst micro managing I have ever experienced in 10+ years of sales. You essential are assigned to a "client" or "team" like Adobe, Pitney Bowes, EMC, VMware, etc, etc...You do they same job a rep would for those companies for A LOT less pay.

    Advice to Management

    Let data reps manage data (ALL DATA) and sales reps manage sales.

    A lot of work to be done and many options to help out so you're not stuck if you don't want to be

    Cons

    growth can be seen as somewhat stagnant given the big growth in past years which has slowed down a bit
