I worked at Sesame Workshop as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The people are amazing and the work is fun. The sector of the company that I interned with was extremely inclusive and really wanted the interns to be involved. The people in the company are very open to interns reaching out to other departments and learning about all of the different opportunities within one non-profit organization. The benefits are amazing with health care and many fitness classes. I learned a ton in this internship!

    Cons

The one con that I did hear about often was that there was not a lot of room for advancement; however, I feel as though advancement is particularly difficult in most non-profit organizations.

    Pros

Company has some of the nicest and caring people you can meet. Great flexibility for working parents

    Cons

Company is top heavy and middle to lower level staff are kept down in many departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop promoting at the stop and start evening out the opportunities among the staff
