Pros

This is a great place to start a career and get a jump start into the business world. With the high level of responsibility, client interaction, it's easy to get some good work experience pretty quick. Seven Step RPO has top notch clients so the work you will be doing, even in the first 6 months, has a high level of impact. The training is effective and very thorough. Even if you only spend a year or two at Seven Step, the experience and training will get you the skills you need for a new job. And for those that want to put the work in, there is a TON of upward mobility. You can double your salary in just a few short years which is fairly unheard of.

Cons

The company often hires entry-level staff that for many is their first job. This is great for the young fun culture, but some get complacent. There aren't really many penalties for under-performance, turnover is VERY low, so you can't rely on or expect everyone else to keep up. Not everyone steps up so there is usually someone in each team that is the big impact player doing more work than the rest.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The culture is great, it's fun, the company is a great place to work. Don't be afraid to hold people to a higher standard or push people a little harder if the business needs it.

    Pros

Good entry level opportunities, fun and friendly co-workers, internal career advancement opportunities, big name accounts, excellent exposure and insight into workings of various industries.

    Cons

Low pay in a city with a high cost of living, unclear holiday schedule/policy, loud work environment, many unmotivated people, no sick days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to provide updates and support to employees on a regular basis even as the company grows. Take a serious look at pay and time off structure and ask if this is rewarding enough given the hours spent by some workers. Additionally, don't tell employees with the sniffles to go home if you're not going to offer any sick days.

    Pros

Seven Step Recruiting is a young, energetic company where your personal growth and opportunity for advancement are recognized and supported by senior management. The open office environment is a welcome change from the typical cubicle layout most companies have. Although the base compensation may be lower than comparable entry level positions the benefits package, overtime pay and leeway with time off more than make up for it.

    Cons

The time constraints and client demands can call for long hours and weekend duty. Although the rapid growth can lead to excessive work, employees benefit from the overtime pay.

Training meetings could be more structured and molded to specific employee needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management could be a bit more consistent when disclosing updates and feedback to their teams and the company as a whole.
