I worked at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Offers you lots of exposure, possibility to move up or across departments. Good company culture. Managers will not hesitate to help out rank and file employees.

    Cons

Long working hours and usually understaffed. Usually caught in-between meeting the needs of guests and those of upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More training opportunities should be provided. More empowerment should be given to staff to improve the service process.
