    I worked at Shaw's

    Pros

Nice co-workers, great lunch or dinner selection. Five percent off food purchase at the time and lots of opportunities to work hours.

    Cons

No future, bad management that was disconnected or did not care about employees or their jobs. It was a grocery store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer discounts again, offer health insurance and try to get people to like working for ten dollars an hour per hour.

I have been working at Shaw's

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, good policies for employees, and it really wasn't the worst plce to work. It is very hard to get fired.

    Cons

They are cutting so many hours so the workload is now doubled for the same amount of time and pay. They give you attitude for requesting days off. Pay is not that good. There is a fair amount of drama.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to save money by cutting hours. Customers are not coming anymore because of the high prices. You promised to lower prices, so do that and customers will come back. Cutting hours makes the employees frustrated for several reasons, which leads to worse customer service. If things continue this way, you will end up shutting down the store a few days a week to save electricity costs.
