A great place to learn, a bad place to work...

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Houston, TX

ProsFor exploration and production:
Great early career learning support. Great coaching and mentoring.
A huge company with a variety of projects to work on.
Compensation package is generous.

ConsWork / life balance varies wildly from asset to asset.

Office Environment--Moving toward open office or cubicles by 2014, as dictated by HR and IT. Exploration and Production are not all collaboration around a table--they require time and space to think. WIth cube farms and benches, it will be harder to attract talent to Exploration and Production, and retention may be an issue as well.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou spend a lot of money on your staff and on your data. Don't try to save a few bucks by knocking down office walls.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
