I have been working at Sheppard Pratt Health System
Pros – This organization provides a much-needed service to a population requiring specialty treatment; so, you can feel like to you making a positive contribution to the community.
People who continue to work at Sheppard Pratt are committed to the needs of the patients and fellow employees.
This large organization can feel like a family.
Cons – Organizaitonal policies are not equally applied across all divisions.
Pay raises and advancement are impossible in some administrative areas.
Organization does not provide merit pay increases.
Advice to Senior Management – Find a way to provide professional development and advancement opportunities to administrative as well as clinical employees.
Insure that organizational policies and procedures are respected and employed by all VPs.
