Pros

- the people who have been there a long time are the stars, they are talented, intelligent, and pleasant to be around; they are the ones who keep the company afloat
- good place to get your kick start and get some experience in an office environment
- management makes attempts to get staff together

Cons

- poor hiring decisions that force current employees to work side by side with new people who don't show potential or investment in the company
- low morale
- high turnover
- micromanagement of senior management, so they can't do their job and lead the company in the right direction

    (4) Micro-management by definition
    (5) Too many meetings for a small company
    (6) No direction or strategy or vision or plan or goals or objectives

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Leadership needs to be spread out across more than just the CEO. Give other division managers the ability to do their jobs without second-guessing every decision, holding a plethora of meetings just to hear yourself talk, and micro-managing each step of the daily job. Listen to your employees. Seek input. Show empathy. Treat employees as the assets they are and not a necessary by-product of owning a business.
