Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Sherwin-Williams full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

If your a minority or a woman , then your golden. If you bust your tail and dont get shafted by upper management then you have the ability to make bonus.

Cons

NO family life at all. You get hours off not days. You have no staff and are alone alot. All non fulltime employees are completely cut on hours so if you had a good employee they quit because Connor,Davidson, and other big wigs care more about their wallet than employees. LOOOOOONG hours for a paint store. Lack of pay for required job.

Advice to Management

Care a little more. Dont make up new policies about how to stock the warehouse because women have a hard time doing it. Cut these dumb hours back and give people a freaking day off.

    Approves of CEO

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Customer Service and Sales Training. Good operations and retail store management training. Competitive Salary and Benefits. Good retirement programs.

    Cons

Slow to change with the marketplace with service and pricing strategy. Highly desires young, promotion seeking employees over experienced employees no longer seeking relocation or career advancement.

    Advice to Management

Customers greatly value long term, experienced contacts in their business transactions. It's a discredit to the company that employees unable or unwilling to move are viewed as failures by some District Level Management.

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Deal with a variety of issues that will set you up for success later down the road, especially if you want to be a manager at another organization or in a corporate setting. Was a good segue into another career for me.

    Cons

Sometimes, the program (MTP) can be limiting. It's tough if you're in a rural area, as I was, and you want to get to a city location.
