Pros

competitive pay, upward advancement opportunities available if willing to put in the work, benefits, culture, sales support, career development (learn skills that will be applicable in any industry), opportunity to achieve lucrative bonuses, supportive management, ability to develop close relationships with employees and customers.

Cons

can get stuck if not willing to put in work, work/life balance at times (this is the case with virtually any publicly held company). Not a lot of cons, you get what you put in.

Remain innovative and keep doing whatever it takes to drive that stock price up!

    Overall a good company to work for, biggest downside is work/life imbalance.

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Everyday brings new tasks to accomplish.
    It's fun to work with homeowners helping them choose colors.
    Most of my coworkers were fun to get along with.

    Cons

    Staffing structure.
    Angry contractors.
    Unrealistic goals from corporate. Poor training.

    I have been working at Sherwin-Williams

    Pros

    Learn about the basics of technical sales, Learn about the coatings industry and meet great people in the customers and co-workers. Sherwin-Williams supports the growth of it's own employees and generally prefers to promote within.

    Cons

    It is difficult to prove yourself, however customers are your best advertisement. When contractors like you, and see you work hard, they will ensure that management knows.
