I worked at Shipwire full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great CEO, Great culture, nothing really comes in mind other than that

    Cons

Too long to ramp up, you will be treated as a second degree sales agent.
Some of the VPs are odd and hard to deal with
Commission was horrible, I was told I was going to make so much money but they forgot to tell me the ramp up is incredibly long and they will always pass the good leads to the senior sales agents who is connected with the management team.
You will have 0 feedback from your manager.
There's 0% help when it comes to training you on the product and procedures.

I have been working at Shipwire full-time

    Pros

Enjoy the people in my department and most others. The company has potential to touch many other businesses and challenges are interesting, though they may not seem that way upon initial glance. Also, most people who work here are smart and competent.

Now that the company has been acquired and is growing, there may be some room for growth, but previous to it, upward movement was not realistic.

    Cons

Transparency could be improved, starting at the top (can be hard to get a straight answer to a question).

Compensation is almost insulting for certain positions, especially considering Bay Area real estate, and numbers aren't accurately conveyed in the salaries section of Glassdoor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All staff meetings and higher salaries will make for more connected and higher quality employees. Do some work on company culture, too.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
