I have been working at Shoe Carnival

Pros

Huge growth opportunities, the company is debt free! Opening new stores faster than anyone in the footwear industry. Mr. Lemond definitely knows how to run a company!

Cons

Starting pay for the General Manager of a store is ridiculous for the amount of responsibilities. There is no such thing as seperation of work and personal life.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your managers better for all the responsibilities they have.

    I worked at Shoe Carnival

    Pros

Working with great people. Watching over the floor isn't a hard job. Keeping things straight is great if you are a perfectionist.

    Cons

There tends to be an unbalanced amount of responsibilities. When you close for the night, if your section is done you usually can go but the section are completely not even size wise so some people have much less to do at the end of the day. The same goes for the entire day with keeping things straight. There is just so much more to do in some sections than others and people take that for granted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    To keep work loads even.
