    Pros

    -Great Discount
    -Friendly customers
-Wonderful Gratis incentives from vendors (when you achieve targets)
    -Commission
-Some of the nicest and friendliest co-workers
    -Great training opportunities

    Cons

-Unfriendly management, a clique-like environement: nard to make friends
    -High turnover
-Cosmetic Management can be often unprofessional.
-If you're sick, you are still required to work until someone can cover your shift. That is unhygienic especially since its a pharmacy environment.
-Difficult to take days off work; no one likes covering for other peoples shifts

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Value your staff members, or they will find better opportunities and leave.

I worked at Shoppers Drug Mart part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

nice and professional environment, good people

    Cons

Job requires hard work for long hours. Most of the time pharmacies are understaffed. There is not enough time to eat or use the washroom which creates unhealthy work conditions for heath care providers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Although as a pharmacy tech you are entitled to have 15 min coffee and 30 min lunch break, most of the days it is impossible to take it. Because it is very busy and pharmacies are short of staff. Either increase staffing or give a down time to pharmacy for people to eat, drink and rejuvenate. 6-8 hours is too long to stay focused without a break.
