Pros

Great culture and work environment. Pizza and massages on Fridays, free meals after 7pm, and really smart and wonderful coworkers. Absolutely no "bros". Wonderful and thoughtful benefits.

Cons

Most of their codebase is Perl.

I have been working at Shutterstock full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Autonomous, collaborative and exciting working environment that provides the right amount of support and goals to keep you motivated and satisfied.

    Flat (ish) organizational structure.

Desire from CEO to keep a "start-up" mentality makes work fun and comes with dot.com perks; could be viewed negatively for some due to bootstrap nature.

    Cons

Long hours are necessary to hit goals and get noticed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful of over-hiring during this rapid growth phase.

    Pros

Flat structure, good food, good people and very interesting.

    Cons

Most of stuff is perl, old perl. Kind of hard to understand what is really going on.
