“Nurses are not part of decision making”
Current Employee – been working at Sibley Memorial Hospital
Pros – Family atmosphere on the nursing units. Nurses by in large support each other.
Cons – Pay and benefits are the lowest in the region. Support for continuing education is minimal. Acknowledgement of professional certifications is not embraced and encouraged.
Advice to Senior Management – Attention to a multidisciplinary supportive environment where nurses are not afraid to voice their concerns and assessments
