I worked at Siemens Energy full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Training, work environment, experience working on all types of equipment.

Cons

Pay was a bit low compared to other companies, but this was offset with a bonus system. If the plant does well, you end up getting proper compensation for your work.

Former Employee - Web Consultant in Wendell, NC

I worked at Siemens Energy as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Global player with opportunities to interact with people from around the world. Work life balance is good. Strong presence outside of North America. Good people to work with and many opportunities to learn.

    Cons

Decision making is very slow and reactive rather than proactive. Frequent reorgs can be distracting. Bureaucratic, political.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please define a clear chain of responsibility and accountability. Sometimes it feels that no one is seeing the big picture. Need a stronger and clearer vision on where to go.
