I have been working at Siemens Energy

    Pros

Solid and dependable company to work for
Good employer name to have on your resume
There is room for growth as long as you are in the right field and have the right manager who supports you
Siemens is moving in the right direction when it comes to green and clean energy

    Cons

Lack of communication across the board from Germany to the US, between the divisions, between the departments, etc.
    Strong presence of corporate politics
Lack of cooperation to get things done
Employees tend to want to pass responsibilities on to other employees, instead of facing the issues head on

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to start communicating important information on a daily basis to employees, not necessarily financial information, but more employee-related information. There have been many times when I learned about a person leaving the company weeks after they left. Corporate politics hinders our efficiency. Because the company is so big, people don't really know where to go for answers to their questions. The company should really make their intranet website more user friendly.
