I worked at Siemens

Pros

The facility in which i worked was like a family atmosphere. Everyone knew each other and there was respect between higher management and the regular employees.

Cons

The opportunity for advancement was limited since there was a low employee turnover. Some of the supervisors seemed to be in their position due to "promoting incompetence".

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If an employee is not working up to par and is not getting along with others, don't promote them to management just to remove them from the immediate problem area.

I have been working at Siemens

    Pros

Good work/life balance, health benefits are among the best.

    Cons

not a lot of career paths to follow in procurement/purchasing, things change all the time and with huge lack of communication to all parts involved, which can be very frustrating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

value all employees and provide more opportunities to grow, not only for managers and executives.

    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at Siemens

    Pros

Great leaders, huge pool of knowledge and intellect.
Top-Down knowledge transfers could be better.
Great variety of functions, jobs and businesses.

    Cons

As mentioned - Top-Down knowledge transfers could be better.
Not so many 'Young people' in company. Career advancement not as easy as elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company looks for outsiders and new starters too complex, too big, too confusing.
Mgt should make company easier to understand.

    Approves of CEO
