Never worked so much ... for so little reward. Not talking about salary.

I worked at Siemens USA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefit package .. once you understand the process.
Rewards of plant wide luncheon for a milestone celebrations.
Has a great potential to be a great company to work for. Maybe I was in the wrong department?

    Cons

Despite emails from TOP management overseas or from another location in the country for communications. The company is highly bureaucratic. Have worked many years in other companies and this one does not make you feel like part of the company.
They have virtually no culture. I was just a salaried widget, that never felt a part of the team. Much of the management was from Germany. I believe did not embrace the culture of the US worker. Perhaps if they hired local engineers instead of those from Germany they could have used the fund to hire more people to take the workload down. So many of the salaried staff worked OT constantly the work life balance is poor.
Senior Management at the plant does not know the staff or get to know them.
Huge diversity of employees from other regions of the world is nice, but it even if they speak English, they are difficult to understand ... and you really can't find an American worker to do the job?
Saw huge amounts of overseas travel expense that did not seem to be needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cut back on management staff from overseas.
Be involved with your workers more... not just lips service.
Have a local HR staff that will answer questions about benefits as opposed to calling a toll free number.
