A good place to work and learn about finance.

RM, Senior Associate, Analyst (Former Employee)
Seattle, WA

ProsTechnology industry
Good benefits
Friendly people (for the most part)
Flexible when need to be flexible
Promote fast if you work for it

ConsGetting to be a "big bank"
Suprising personnel decisions (picking wrong people to promote and getting rid of or driving out good, producing workers)

Advice to Senior ManagementDo not manage by fear and insecuirty. If you hire talented people, they will work hard and it will payoff for the company.

Pros: The Corporate Culture is amazing, everyone is very friendly and the bank pays… Cons: The ability to move around the company and apply internally. A lot… Advice to Senior Management: Management is doing everything very well, no advice just keep… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

SVB tech staff - work in progress - janitor?

    omitted/anonymous (Current Employee)
    Santa Clara, CA

I have been working at Silicon Valley Bank

Pros: Stock price continues to rise, no lack of work. Constant… Cons: Management inflexible, politically motivated, unrealistic, clique-ish, motivated by CYA and preserving fiefdoms rather than realistic and fresh approaches to solve current internal and industry standard… Advice to Senior Management: Leave your egos and control issues at the door. … No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
