Pros

Schedule flexiablity, lots of responsibility, ability to interact with the public

Cons

stressfull, stressfull, stressfull. You work weekends, and every holiday. Managment does not micromanage, but will be on you like white on rice if you don't meet arbitrary goals, and no recognition for all the work you do.

Overall, good for experience, but don't get too attached.

    Pros

    Great Benefits,steady 40 hour work week.

    Cons

    Poor Management,Mis-Communication on all levels from leasing to The General Manager,Ridiculous projects from the operations director that were impossible to complete on time.Absolutly no advancement opportunities at all.Extreme work politics. Managers make up lies about employees and write them up for false performance issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Quit screwing over good talented people that work for the company,with poor pay,and work politics,when a company is as big as Simon,employees don`t have a chance in that type of hostile enviroment at all.

    Pros

    I met a few really dynamic employees who happened to be employed at other mall locations. Several employees seem to have been with the company for over five years despite the below market average pay.

    Cons

    As another past employee posted, location is everything. If you are considering the Jersey City location look elsewhere. During the interview there was a misleading and misrepresentation of what type of candidate they were seeking and the role in which the candidate would fill within the team. I found the staff to be unprofessional and more interested in gossip than improving Guest Relations. On a daily basis the Marketing Director would argue with tenants in the most inappropriate manner. The Mall Manager is so consumed with a corporate position that she allows the staff to run wild. I can go on and on but the bottom line is the position is not what Simon intended for it to be at this location and for a mid thirty's salary it is from being worth the headache.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You need to clean house, and take a page from neighboring properties on how to run an operation.
