guest services representative

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsYou get paid to stand around and assist customers with questions and concerns. Get paid to what equates to a little bit of actual work.

ConsVery little work to actually do, you stand around for long periods of time doing nothing, you only get a 15 minutes break when you work udner 8 hours. So if you work a full sunday which only equates to 7 1/2 hours, you still get a 15 minutes break. Gets very boring.

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognize the people who actually do the work and not assume that a manager or someone above the representative did it. Also, informing your employees that you do actually appreciate them would get a better response.

Simon Property Group - Not a great company unless your title is CEO

    Guest Services Representative (Current Employee)

I have been working at Simon Property Group part-time for less than a year

Pros: Great customer service and administrative experience for your resume. Cons: Employees are considerably underpaid. Poor communication between corporate and malls/employees.
